HHN09 - A God Who Sees

Here is my latest submission for the Holy Name challenge. This week's theme was a "God Who Sees." I loved working on this and I love this verse. I wish I could put the whole chapter of Psalm 139 on this page! :-) What an amazing blessing to know that nothing escapes the attention and knowledge of our Lord! He is all knowing and we can not escape His presence. If you want to play along, head over to Patter's site and check out her challenges for HHN09.

Recipe: My Mind's Eye DP, CTMH Hollyhock CS,
brads are from bazzill and the flower is colored with copic R85.

SNS Copic Challenge

Here is my card for the Sweet N Sassy copic challenge. The challenge was to use a shade of red, yellow and blue to color our image. I played around with markings to make my sand stand out a little more. I thought this image was so cute, but I really can't remember where she came from. ;-) I believe the paper is from My Mind's Eye. My good friend Carri D. also helped me learn some cool new quilling techniques. My flower on the right is quilled. Carri made this one for me as hers turned out WAY better than mine. If you want to play along with the copic challenge check out Kimm's blog. Thanks for stopping by and looking.

It's Almost Done!!

My scrap room is almost complete! Just a little more trim and a painted door. :-) I took a picture of the room with the new floor in it and I am so excited. Hubby really did a great job. While he worked on the floor, I worked hard on sketch #77 from Mojo Monday. LOL! Sounds fair right? The paper is from "My Minds Eye" and the stamp is from Paper Makeup Stamps. The name of it is "Lauren in Love." I really do enjoy the stamps Katie puts out of these little day fairies. I used my nestabilities to cut out the cirlce and scalloped edge and I used my copics to color the image. It's off to bed now. Thanks for stopping by.

Long Time No Blog

I can't believe it's been more than a month since I blogged last. Time goes by so fast! It has been crazy busy around my house. For the last month I and my good friends (Ruth and Carri D.) have been making up cards kits for a ladies retreat workshop at church. We ended up making around 250 card kits and the ladies really seemed to like them. ;-) Thanks Ruth and Carri!

At the same time I also had art fair at the preschool where I work. This is where each preschooler makes 4-5 art projects and we sell them at our fair to raise money. I can't believe how much time it takes to get ready for this.

I have also been working with my hubby on a scrap room. He is finished drywalling and so I've been painting away lately. All together these projects really crowded out my paper time. ;-)

I did manage to get a few paper projects done in the last week or so. The first is for the HHN (His Holy Name) challenge over at Patter Cross's blog. I am a few challenges behind right now. But I plan to catch up soon.

The next photo is a card I did for my little sister's birthday. The paper is from CTMH and the stamp is from Paper Makeup. Her name is Sprout and I love her! I colored her in using copic markers.

Finally I am attaching some photos of the scrap room in progress. I am getting so excited. I have never had a scrap room before or as my hubby call it, " a CRAP room." ;-) Either way I am loving it. I just need to touch up with paint and then we can put the trim on. I might have to wait another month or two to get a decent floor. But hey..... I am just thrilled to have what I have. ;-) Well...that's all folks! Have a great night.

I've Been Tagged

I was tagged by the very talented Jacquie over at Javablustamper.

Ok...so..here's the deal:

1. Go to where you keep your pictures, select the 6th folder, and the 6th picture in that folder.
2. Then post it on your blog with an explanation of the story behind the picture.
3. Tag 6 other people to do the same, and make sure you let them know about it.

This is my youngest daughter, Abbie. At the time of the photo (Easter 2007) she is 2 - 1/2 years old and she called herself, "Princess Abigail Grace Rainbow Heart." The rainbow was meant to come out Rambo (our last name) but she just couldn't get it to come out that way. For the longest time she would not respond to us when we called her just "Abbie". She really expected us to call her by her royal title. That's what I get for letting her watch every single animated Barbie movie. LOL!

As you can tell, there is more dye on her hands and arms than their is on the egg. Thanks Jacquie for the fun tag! Since I'm not sure really who to tag, I think I'll pass on tagging new people.

I am hoping to make a card or two tomorrow so check back.

HHN09 Cover Page and A Card

Hello everyone! I finally got around to creating a cover page for my hhn09 display. The second photo is a card I made using a digi download. I am beat from a long day so I will get to the facts tonight.

Cover Page:
Bo Bunny DP and Mulberry Paper
Top Note Dye from SU!
Chipboard (what I cut with the Top Note Dye)
Bella Baubles from Stamping Bella
Ink: Cranberry from CTMH
I used a product called Rub-Onz from a company called Grafix to create my very own rub- on. I typed "Hisholyname" over and over, printed it out onto the material and covered the top note dye with it.

The Card:
Paper is from BG "Bittersweet"
Scalloped circle and regular circle are from Nestabilities
Ribbon is from CTMH
Baubles from Stamping Bella
Image is a download
Colored using copic markers

Okay, now it's off to bed! Thanks for looking.

HHN09

This is the second challenge for "His Holy Name" over at Patter's blog. I think I checked her blog 50 times on Sunday because I was so excited to find out the attribute and get started. ;-) The attibute this week was "Sovereign." What a great comfort to know that God is exactly that. He is in absolute control of all things and there is none like Him. He is on the throne!

This week I used paper from "My Minds Eye." It's hard to pick up, but the flowers are covered in sparkles. They are so pretty. (It came that way, it wasn't by my doing, LOL.) I used a soft blue card stock (generic brand) and edged it in chocolate CTMH ink. I also tore the top edge of the cardstock. I wrote my verse choice on a MakingMemories {note}worthy card after I cut it down to size. Then I edged that in Vineyard Berry Ink from CTMH. The brown flower and gem brad in the center are also from MakingMemories. The word "sovereign" and the definition were printed onto the DP using my printer.

Thanks for stopping by and looking!
